ZOMG!

Very Happy

Seriously though, I recorded a clip of my playing very poorly with no backing track. Mostly just to show the pretty righteous tones of my Strat (left channel), and Jazzmaster (Lead). Also to dispell rumors on another board that I couldn't actually play, just build.

However, it doesn't really sound great because the only way I could do it was through the line out of the amp (which sounds like poo, maybe next time I'll do the FX loop send), because the only mic I have is a Samson R21 and needs power. Also there was a sucky whistle in the recording which I had to wash out with a filter. Makes for a slightly processed sound. Maybe I'll try the isight in my MacBook . . . oh well I'm satisfied for now.

Oh and don't judge my playing. :p

Oh, c'mon, the playing was decent. But yeah, the recording does sound a bit processed. There's no way you could just mic the amp? That's probably the best way. I just really wanna hear all the fruits of your labors in their full glory.

Anyways, keep the recording coming!

I have no mic except for the Samson R21, and the .0325" pinhole mics in my Macbook. We'll see.

The playing was decent, but I should've gone for one take with one guitar. I was showing my dad the minor pent scale last night and I played that all at once with no backup and it was a lot better than that. Of course it was on his crappiphone through his noisy tube amp. And couldn't have been recorded.

I might be able to steal an old mac microphone from work.

Geez, the guy's willing to build a guitar and an amp, but isn't willing to purchase a proper microphone. Razz

Because I can't BUILD a proper microphone. ;)

Actually it's more like a mike preamp.
